Childcare Services in Annandale, VA
Deba Daycare is a licensed family home in Annandale, not a center. We care for a small mixed age group in a house, with the same two people every day, which is why so many ofour families stay from the infant room right through to preschool.
Infant care
From newborn, in a room with its own play and rest area so babies are not underfoot with the older children. Parents bring their own formula or breast milk. We prepare fresh pureed fruit and vegetables, or Gerber if you prefer, and move to 1% or 2% milk once your baby is off formula. Cuddling, rocking, singing and holding are part of the day, not an extra.
Full time and part time
Both are available depending on what is open. Current availability changes, so ask when you visit.
What we do not offer
We are one home with one provider and one assistant. We do not run overnight care, we are not a nursing service, and we are not a chain with other branches.
Toddler care
Colors, letters and numbers through games your child will think are just games. A book and colouring time every day. Meals that toddlers will actually eat, including pasta, sandwiches, rice and pizza, with crackers and goldfish at snack time. Outdoor play in the morning whenever the weather allows.
Preschool program
For the year before school starts. Letters and their sounds, counting, animals, foods and colors, and the habits that make the first term easier: washing hands, brushing teeth, flushing, and sharing. Sharing is one of our golden rules and we work on it every day.
